Job summary

Together AI is building the AI Acceleration Cloud, a scalable platform for the full generative AI lifecycle. We seek a Senior Backend Engineer to help design and operate a global, high-performance cloud that virtualizes ML hardware and delivers on-demand and managed Kubernetes and Slurm services.

You will shape the global management plane, contribute to distributed data center compute, networking, and storage, and partner with product teams to deliver enterprise cloud features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in large-scale distributed systems and APIs.
• Experience designing scalable, fault-tolerant services.
• Proficient written and verbal communication.
• Experience with multi-cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of compute, networking, storage, and concurrency.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop core backend services powering Together’s cloud platform.
• Improve robustness and scalability of distributed systems and APIs.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Write well-tested code and IaC; participate in design reviews.
• Contribute to on-call rotations for incident response.
