Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking Senior Software Engineers for a fully remote hourly contract. Based in Austin or Texas, you will design, build, and scale AI infrastructure powering products used by millions.

You’ll work on production-grade systems, APIs, and data pipelines, using Python, TypeScript, and other modern languages. This role offers high autonomy and cross-functional collaboration with ML researchers and product managers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language — Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Java, or similar.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and system design principles.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, or data-intensive apps.
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized environments.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD workflows, and modern tooling.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written communication and async collaboration.
• Self-directed and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software systems supporting AI training, evaluation, and deployment pipelines.
• Write clean, well-tested, and performant code in Python, TypeScript, or other modern languages.
• Build and optimize APIs, data pipelines, and backend services at scale.
• Architect solutions balancing delivery speed with maintainability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and cloud infra.
• Collaborate asynchronously with ML engineers, researchers, and PMs.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Work independently on well-scoped projects with ownership.
