Job summary

The Cloud Enablement & Engineering Team at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring a Senior AI Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer in a fully-remote role. You’ll guide teams through cloud migration, AI platform adoption, and operational optimization.

Engage as a trusted technical advisor, translating business requirements into enterprise architectures balancing innovation, security, governance, and operations. Travel to Chattanooga for final interviews may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 5 years of Cloud Infrastructure and Software Engineering experience.
• Experience with enterprise network design including segmentation, encryption, logging and monitoring.
• Experience with firewalls, network authentication controls, and Linux/Windows operating systems.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, New Relic, Logstash, CloudTrail.
• Deep understanding of Azure and/or GCP experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices: Infrastructure as Code and deployment automation.
• Understanding of Docker/Kubernetes for container-based deployments.
• Knowledge of Terraform/Ansible, Git-based tools (GitHub, Bitbucket), Azure DevOps/Jenkins.
• Understanding of cloud security architectures for cloud/hybrid systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for installation and support of Cloud software and services.
• Automate infrastructure and services using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design cloud services and tools to meet business needs considering environment, security and costs.
• Define technical solutions through Agile process.
• Handle day-to-day cloud infrastructure operations: monitoring, alerts, troubleshooting.
• Guide architecture and development teams on design and cloud vs on-premises decisions.
• Assist with migration of on-premises systems to cloud environments.
• Build highly redundant environments to ensure performance, uptime and continuity.
• Maintain infrastructure design documentation and educate teams on new cloud initiatives.
