Job summary

Zoom’s Enterprise Security team is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own the AI Governance program end to end, defining standards and risk posture for safe AI adoption at scale. You will assess new AI use cases, build security frameworks for GenAI and agentic systems, and partner with engineering and enterprise teams across time zones to drive measurable risk reduction.

This is a hands-on, highly autonomous role requiring deep expertise in AI/ML security and traditional security domains.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of security engineering or cybersecurity experience
• Solid knowledge of modern AI/ML and associated security risks (GenAI, LLMs)
• Experience securing GenAI or LLM-based enterprise applications
• Understanding of AI gateways, MCP, CASB/SWG, or DLP tooling

Responsibilities

• Own AI governance risk register and end-to-end assessment methodology across GenAI, Agentic AI, Shadow AI/Local AI, and AI Gateway/MCP
• Identify and prioritize security gaps in GenAI deployments including prompt injection, data leakage, model misuse, and insecure output handling
• Lead Shadow AI governance from risk exposure to enforcement controls
• Set security bar for AI gateway and MCP implementations (config, access control, governance)
• Architect reference security patterns for AI adoption and serve as design authority in AI architecture reviews
• Evaluate AI security tooling, cost-benefit analysis, and leadership recommendations; maintain security standards and policy
• Lead security architecture reviews and risk assessments across adjacent domains (Network, Endpoint, Cloud, Data)
• Serve as primary technical partner to AI/ML and engineering teams; mentor engineers on risk analysis and documentation quality
