Job summary

NeueHealth is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead design, delivery, and operation of complex healthcare AI products. The role covers prompts, agent behavior, retrieval, model optimization, evaluations, and human-review controls to ensure safe, reliable, and governable high-stakes workflows.

In collaboration with Product, business, clinical, operational, Data Engineering, Platform, and Security teams, you will translate real-world workflows into configuration-driven decision logic and scalable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex AI products including agentic workflows and RAG systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and clinical/operational teams.
• Translate stakeholder needs into validated, access-aware AI workflows with clear behavior and risk controls.
• Design AI workflow and RAG product lines including ingestion, retrieval quality, attribution, and human-review paths.
• Implement workflows with reliable AI control layers and optimize models, retrieval, and tuning.
• Own evaluation and release frameworks, including testing, thresholds, and telemetry.
• Provide senior technical leadership through code reviews, incident response, and mentoring.
• Deliver healthcare AI services using cloud capabilities with HITRUST-aligned controls.
