Job summary

Crate & Barrel is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy ML systems that enhance core product capabilities. You will own end-to-end model deployment on GCP, optimize performance, and drive production reliability with hands-on development and leadership.

You will work on ML pipelines, agentic AI frameworks, and collaboration with data, DevOps, and product teams to deliver scalable, cost-aware AI solutions in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering
• Proven track record of designing, implementing, and deploying multiple ML models into production

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, train, and fine-tune ML models for production on Google Cloud Platform
• Own end-to-end model deployment on GCP (Vertex AI, GKE, Cloud Run) ensuring low latency and reliability
• Build and maintain ML pipelines on GCP for automated training, testing, and CI/CD
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on architecture decisions
