Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build the AWS-native data foundation behind our enterprise AI apps. You will shape data patterns, develop knowledge graphs, and implement retrieval and governance pipelines.

The role combines leadership, hands-on engineering, and collaboration with AI teams to ensure data quality and provenance. You will work on modeling, pipelines, and security practices across AWS services, influencing product and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or a STEM field.
At least three years of data engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Design and evolve knowledge graphs and ontologies powering AI reasoning and explainability.
Align data across sources into a coherent, queryable graph with provenance.
Own retrieval substrates and drive improvements in grounding quality.
Curate grounding corpora, eval datasets, and retrieval benchmarks for LLM features.
Build ingestion and transformation pipelines on AWS with Python/SQL.
Define data contracts and metadata for policy engines and AI teams.
Lead and mentor engineers on modeling and retrieval techniques.
