Job summary

EQUS is building a trusted AI infrastructure with an emphasis on privacy, security, and scalable AI services. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will own the AI assistant layer end to end, making architectural decisions and guiding non-trivial tradeoffs across the stack.

You will drive context augmentation pipelines, manage LLM integrations, and lead production evaluation efforts while ensuring GDPR/CCPA compliance and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years shipping production AI systems.
• Strong Python skills; Node.js or .NET a plus.
• Deep working knowledge of LLMs (GPT, Claude, Llama, Mistral).
• Experience designing context augmentation systems: vector RAG, CAG, multi-tenant isolation.

Responsibilities

• Design and own AI assistant layer end to end (architecture, standards, service contracts).
• Integrate and manage LLM APIs; deploy multi-agent systems.
• Build evaluation frameworks for output quality, relevance, and safety.
• Address privacy, safety, and data handling; ensure GDPR/CCPA compliance.
• Define AI service contracts and standards; mentor engineers.
