CD PROJEKT RED is seeking an Expert AI Programmer to join Cyberpunk 2, focusing on architecting AI and open-world systems that enable designers to populate immersive environments. You will implement low-level spawning and behavior systems while mentoring teammates.

Hybrid/in-office or remote work is available. A strong emphasis on performance, collaboration, and delivering scalable, high-quality code for current-gen consoles is key to success in this role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional programming experience in games.
• Proficient in C++ and Unreal Engine.
• Experience with procedural content generation and systemic gameplay.
• Experience with current-gen console hardware.

Responsibilities

• Work with designers and developers to populate the open world.
• Build and maintain major systems for spawning, AI, and systemic gameplay.
• Monitor performance and memory usage, optimize as needed.
• Oversee technical efforts through code reviews and mentoring.
• Develop debug and designer tools for non-deterministic gameplay.
• Write high-quality, optimized, bug-free code aligned with project goals.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration to enhance all game systems.
