Job summary

Oscar Health is hiring a Senior Manager, Actuarial to lead a pricing team responsible for ACA markets. You will own end-to-end rate development, influence strategic pricing decisions, and partner with Market P&L and Insurance Product. The role supports national strategy and regulatory submissions, while ensuring pricing is actuarially sound.

You will report to the Director, Actuarial. This is a remote position open to candidates across the U.S. with some travel for meetings and events.

Qualifications

• College degree in a STEM field (required).
• Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) or on track to become one.
• 7+ years of quantitative analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead team initiatives to enhance pricing models and methodologies.
• Oversee end-to-end rate development within a specific region for Oscar's ACA markets.
• Influence and collaborate with key stakeholders to guide strategic business decisions with respect to rates.
• Understand key financial risks and opportunities within each market and apply learnings to pricing strategies.
• Provide actuarial perspective across cross-functional teams to support sustainable growth.
• Mentor and provide pricing analysts with regular feedback.
• Promote actuarial best practices with automation and documentation.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
