Job summary

Oscar Health is hiring a Senior Manager, Actuarial to lead pricing for ACA markets. You will manage a team of analysts, own end-to-end rate development, and partner with Market P&L, Insurance Product, and analytics teams to drive regional and national pricing strategy.

You will also oversee regulatory submissions, manage financial risks, and promote actuarial best practices across automated processes and documentation. This role reports to the Director, Actuarial and is remote within the US.

Qualifications

• Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (SOA), or on the track to become one.
• 7+ years of quantitative analysis experience.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong understanding of health insurance concepts and nuances.

Responsibilities

• Lead team initiatives to enhance pricing models and methodologies.
• Oversee the end-to-end rate development within a specific region for Oscar's ACA markets.
• Influence and collaborate with key stakeholders to guide strategic business decisions with respect to rates.
• Provide an actuarial viewpoint across cross-functional teams to ensure sustainable growth for Oscar's ACA Individual Markets.
• Mentor and coach pricing analysts with regular feedback.
