Abercrombie & Fitch Co. in Columbus, OH is seeking a Senior Analyst, Accounting Systems to bridge finance, accounting, merchandising, and technology. You will partner with IT to optimize Oracle merchandising configurations and ensure accurate GL mappings for reliable financial reporting.

Bring a hands-on approach to agile project work, strong analytical skills, and experience in retail accounting. This role anchors internal controls and supports growth through scalable system designs.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Information systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Understanding of inventory and/or intercompany accounting, preferably within a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic finance partner to IT and business teams by translating new business developments into scalable accounting system requirements and financial flows.
• Partner with IT to enhance and maintain Oracle merchandising system configuration, including GL account mapping for accurate financial reporting.
• Represent finance and accounting systems interests in new selling channel initiatives, assessing accounting impacts early and embedding requirements before launch.
• Collaborate with technical teams to perform ad-hoc analyses, troubleshoot errors, identify root causes, and validate fixes before deployment.
• Shape future-state design of accounting systems in an agile environment to prioritize and deliver finance-focused enhancements.
