Related Affordable is seeking a Senior Accountant to support a diverse portfolio of affordable residential properties and tax credit assets. The role collaborates with regional management and senior leadership to deliver accurate monthly/ quarterly reports and interface with auditors and regulators.

The position is primarily remote, reports to the Senior Controller (New York office), and requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 2+ years in real estate accounting; CPA is preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related discipline required.
• 2+ years of real estate accounting experience, preferably at the residential property level.
• CPA Certification highly preferred.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards, RealPage, Yardi or other property management software is a plus.
• Federal and local housing agency reporting experience.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Clear communicator with senior leaders.
• Demonstrates accountability and reliability with attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily accounting activities, cash management, and review of AR/AP for assigned properties.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for various accounts.
• Prepare and process job cost requisitions, capital calls, and advance requests.
• Collaborate with Controller and Asset Managers on monthly cash flow forecasting.
• Book journal entries and perform GL analysis.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end closings and prepare supporting work papers.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end tax, cash, and GAAP reporting.
• Create reporting templates and develop analysis using Excel or JD Edwards.
