Job summary

BenchPrep in the United States is seeking a Staff/Senior Accountant to support our growing operations. This remote role reports to the Controller and focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will participate in budgeting, forecasting, audits, and revenue recognition, with an emphasis on GAAP, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close. CPA preferred; strong Excel skills required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• 3-5 years Staff Accountant or 5-8 years Sr Accountant with public accounting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition; proficient with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting functions including reconciliations, journal entries, AR, AP, and Billing.
• Analyze expenditures and allocate expenses to departments with reporting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and proper revenue recognition; post accruals monthly/quarterly/yearly.
• Support budgeting/forecasting and year-end schedules for tax returns.
• Identify process improvements in accounting workflows.
