Job summary

OpenKrill, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Temporary Senior Accountant based in the United States. This fully remote, short‑term opportunity focuses on revenue accounting, transaction reconciliations, and month‑end close for a fast‑paced ecommerce environment, handling Shopify and Amazon Vendor Central data.

You will strengthen controls and resolve complex discrepancies while applying your 4+ years of US GAAP experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
4+ years of professional accounting experience including month-end close and reconciliations.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition.
Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large datasets.
Experience with Shopify, Amazon Vendor Central, or ecommerce accounting a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage direct‑to‑consumer revenue accounting through Shopify and related systems.
Reconcile Shopify transactions with processors, banks, and ERP records.
Support revenue recognition for Amazon transactions and reconcile data.
Prepare weekly sales invoices and investigate discrepancies.
Prepare monthly COGS accruals and record necessary adjustments.
Assist with month‑end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Support payroll reporting setup in Paylocity and multi‑state registrations.
