Job summary

EBI Consulting seeks a Structural Engineer to lead seismic work, including PML and PCA reports for diverse property types. You will perform field observations, analyze data, and compile findings per ASTM and HUD scopes. Based in the Western US, expect significant travel and a strong client-facing role within Transaction Advisory Services.

You will review plans, soils reports, and other docs, applying SeismiCat or similar tools. A PE license in CA is required; SE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Eng required; CA PE license required; SE preferred.
• 10+ years in building materials, construction, or forensic investigation.
• Experience with seismic design/retrofit and HUD scopes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and review PML studies on buildings including field work and reports.
• Perform structural investigations, PCA field observations and loan monitoring.
• Manage multiple projects and communicate findings to clients.
• Travel up to 70%, primarily in the Western US; present at conferences.
