Job summary

Partner Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking a PE-licensed structural/seismic engineer for seismic risk assessment consulting and limited retrofit design in Irvine, CA.

The role involves regional travel, on-site evaluations, and producing seismic risk reports. The candidate should have a BS in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering, 3+ years of experience, a PE license, and knowledge of modern codes and ASCE-41.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in structural engineering.
• P.E. license required; S.E. license preferred.
• Solid understanding of modern building codes and seismic provisions.
• Excellent communication and writing skills; ability to communicate technical issues to clients.

Responsibilities

• Travel regionally to perform on-site building assessments.
• Perform structural calculations per modern and historic building codes.
• Conduct on-site reconnaissance, plan reviews, and report reviews.
• Conduct project research including building department searches and internet research.
• Complete seismic risk assessment reports per Partner standards.
