Job summary

AssetWatch is a remote-first industrial condition monitoring company seeking a Security Engineer to own day-to-day security operations, respond to customer security inquiries, and drive the SOC 2 Type 2 program using Vanta. You will collaborate with Legal, Sales, and IT to maintain trust with customers.

The role covers endpoint protection, identity management, vulnerability management, and security awareness training, with a focus on fast-moving, remote work and clear communication to both

Qualifications

• 3+ years in security engineering, security analyst, GRC, or IT security role.
• Direct experience responding to customer security questionnaires and supporting customer security calls.
• Hands-on SOC 2 experience; familiarity with Vanta, Drata, Secureframe, etc.
• Working knowledge of endpoint protection/EDR tools like CrowdStrike.
• Familiarity with IAM concepts (SSO, MFA, Conditional Access) in an Entra ID environment.

Responsibilities

• Join customer and sales calls as the security SME, establishing trust in AssetWatch's security posture and compliance program.
• Own end-to-end responses to customer security questionnaires, SIG/CAIQ, and RFP security sections.
• Maintain a library of pre-approved answers, evidence, and reference architecture diagrams.
• Support security-related contract reviews and due diligence with Legal, Sales, and Customer Success.
• Triage and provide initial responses to questionnaires and due diligence requests within two business days.
