Job summary

Datawatch Systems is seeking a Service Technical Support Specialist to remotely review, diagnose, and troubleshoot customer systems before and during field service. The role includes remote triage, field-support coordination, and documenting technical findings to ensure accurate service tickets.

Scheduled Monday–Friday, 8 am–4 pm, Bethesda, MD. Travel: No; Salary: $23.00–$25.00/hour. Applicants may undergo drug screening and background checks. EOEs.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to diagnose issues remotely using dashboards, logs, and customer data.
• Proven skill in documenting triage steps and dispositions clearly.
• Experience with access control, CCTV, alarm monitoring, and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Review client-reported issues and monitoring alerts to identify affected systems or sites.
• Perform remote triage before dispatch when possible and document all steps and outcomes.
• Resolve eligible issues remotely when possible and verify resolution with evidence and customer confirmation.
• Provide technical guidance to field technicians before or during service calls and review prior incident notes.
• Support troubleshooting of monitoring accounts, paths, and communications with central stations and customers.
