Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Manager of Security Engineering & Platforms to lead teams delivering enterprise security platforms and services. This remote-first, nationwide role focuses on SIEM, SOAR, and cyber defense engineering, enabling detection, response, automation, and secure cloud and on‑premises environments.

The candidate will drive engineering strategy, mentor staff, and partner with architecture and operations to improve platform reliability and security outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams in cybersecurity, information technology, or related disciplines preferred.
• Experience managing cybersecurity platforms, infrastructure, or engineering functions preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multiple Security Engineering & Platform teams, including supervisors, engineers, and technical specialists.
• Establish strategic direction and roadmaps for cybersecurity platforms and engineering capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal customers, technology teams, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and support their professional and technical development.
• Oversee administration, support, and optimization of enterprise security monitoring, automation, and cyber defense platforms.
• Drive automation initiatives through orchestration platforms, scripting, APIs, and engineering best practices.
• Lead platform lifecycle activities, including upgrades, migrations, integrations, and modernization efforts.
