Cardinal Health is seeking a Manager of Security Engineering & Platforms to lead multiple teams responsible for foundational security platforms and services supporting enterprise detection, response, and cyber defense programs.

The role combines people leadership with technical direction across SIEM, SOAR, and related security engineering functions, focusing on developing people, solving complex challenges, and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop multiple Security Engineering & Platform teams.
• Set strategic direction and roadmaps for cybersecurity platforms.
• Collaborate with internal customers, technology teams, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and support their professional development.
• Oversee security monitoring, automation, and cyber defense platforms.
• Manage cloud-hosted and on-prem infrastructure supporting cybersecurity tech.
• Drive automation initiatives via orchestration, scripting, and APIs.
• Ensure platforms are monitored, maintained, and improved for security and efficiency.
• Lead platform lifecycle activities including upgrades and migrations.
• Support incident response and security operations with reliable service delivery.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and technology evaluations.
• Participate in PoC testing, tech assessments, and platform selection.
• Partner with Security Architecture to transition new tech into operations.
• Develop and maintain processes, standards, and documentation for security engineering.
