Job summary

XTIUM is seeking a Security Manager to lead day-to-day security operations, incident response, and remediation efforts. The role coordinates teams and partners to ensure timely evidence, clear tickets, and disciplined follow-up in a fast-paced IT services environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in security operations, familiarity with Sentinel and CrowdStrike, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with preferred certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, or related roles.
• Experience with MSSP, MDR, SOC, SIEM, or managed detection partners in a co-managed model.
• Familiar with security case management, playbooks, ticketing workflows, and escalation processes in a fast-paced IT services environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, and common logging or alert triage practices.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Security+, GCIA, CISSP, or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily security operations workflows across teams and stakeholders, including triage and follow-through.
• Coordinate incident response activities, maintain playbooks, and document evidence, timelines, and decisions.
• Track vulnerability findings, penetration test results, and CTEM actions through remediation, retesting, and closure.
• Monitor security metrics and prepare recurring reporting on cases, remediation status, exceptions, and control performance.
• Drive operational handoffs between intake, SOC escalation, engineering remediation, and business owners.
• Support audits and customer assurance requests by collecting evidence, validating control execution, and maintaining documentation.
• Identify process gaps and execute improvements to strengthen security operations, service quality, and response readiness.
