Qualifications

• Hands-on experience triaging and investigating security alerts in a security operations, incident response or similar role.
• Experience using security tools such as a SIEM, endpoint detection and response platform, or email security platform to investigate suspicious activity.
• Understanding of common threats (phishing, account compromise, suspicious endpoint activity) and related concepts in networking, OS, and identity.
• Ability to query and interpret logs, distinguish evidence from assumptions, and recognize when escalation is needed.
• Some scripting experience: read, adapt and write small scripts in Python or another language to support investigations.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including documenting findings and handing over results.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts across identity, endpoint, email, SaaS and cloud environments using tools and runbooks.
• Own routine investigations through to documented outcomes with evidence collection and timelines.
• Support experienced responders during major incidents with analysis and containment actions.
• Maintain investigation records and provide updates to regional teammates.
• Improve runbooks, tune detections, and contribute small scripts or automation.
• Participate in post-incident reviews and turn lessons into practical improvements.
