Job summary

Catalyst Capital is seeking a Security Manager to own and advance our security program across multiple brands. You will lead incident response, guide a growing security team, and shape policies for access control, data handling, and vendor reviews.

You will work directly with leadership and report to the Head of Technology, coordinating across a fully remote, globally distributed team. Experience in crypto/fintech and hands-on security tooling are valued assets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security, incl. 2+ years leading a function at 100+ people
• Led live-incident response, not just tabletop exercises
• Built or rebuilt a security program: policy, tooling, training, and incident response
• Experience in crypto, fintech, or high-fraud industry
• Deep knowledge of phishing, social engineering and impersonation attacks
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, endpoint protection, email security, and identity and device management
• Can write scripts and automation beyond vendor UIs
• Writes clear security policy and ensures adherence
• Briefs executives in plain language and trains non-technical staff
• Comfortable leading a fully remote team across time zones

Responsibilities

• Own the security program: strategy, roadmap, and monthly leadership reporting across brands
• Manage incident response end-to-end; lead live incidents and keep runbooks current
• Build and lead the security team as the company scales
• Write and enforce practical security policies: access control, data handling, vendor reviews
• Lead phishing/brand-protection efforts and impersonation defenses
• Define platform security for customer accounts and coordinate with engineering
• Set AI/automation security rules and review high-risk cases
• Own security tooling and vendor management (SIEM, EPP, email security, identity services)
• Produce security content for member awareness; coordinate with Legal/Compliance
• Prepare for audits like SOC 2 / ISO 27001 with cross-functional teams
