Job summary

Nextech is a leading healthcare technology solutions provider seeking a Security Engineer to protect our organization from evolving threats. You will leverage CrowdStrike’s EDR and other tools to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents while strengthening our threat detection capabilities.

In this role you will work with IT, compliance, and security teams to enforce security controls and drive improvements across our security program.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, with incident response and threat detection focus.
• Hands-on CrowdStrike experience for threat hunting and vulnerability management.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Security, or related field; relevant certs are a plus.
• Cloud security familiarity with Azure/AWS.
• Proficiency with Zscaler, CrowdStrike, Abnormal Security, Tenable.io; SIEM and network security tech expected.

Responsibilities

• Security Alert Monitoring using CrowdStrike and Zscaler to identify real-time threats.
• Investigation of incidents, root-cause analysis, containment and remediation actions.
• Proactive threat hunting across the network to detect malicious activity.
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments and remediation with teams.
• Produce detailed security reports with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with IT, compliance, and security teams on security strategy.
• Support security awareness training and ongoing education.
• Stay updated on threats, tools, and industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PCI, SOC2, ISO 27001/27013, and NIST 800-53.
