Job summary

GameChanger, a remote-first tech company based in New York City, is seeking a Security Engineer to join the InfoSec team and be the primary security partner for our software engineering organization. Reporting to the Security Engineering Manager, you will embed security across the SDLC and champion secure design and development practices.

You will work with platform and product engineers, take part in our on-call rotation, and help shape secure API patterns, CI/CD tooling, and risk management

Qualifications

• 3 years in application security engineering.
• Experience building internal security developer platforms.
• Experience using AI/ML tools to boost security.
• Proven ability to lead threat modeling efforts.
• Experience integrating security tooling into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with OWASP Top 10s.
• Experience securing AWS deployments with containers.

Responsibilities

• Embed security across the SDLC.
• Champion secure design for Gen AI tools within the product stack.
• Conduct secure design reviews for new features, APIs, and infra changes.
• Perform secure code reviews and provide actionable remediation guidance.
• Partner with architecture and platform teams to establish secure API patterns (REST/GraphQL).
• Maintain secure coding guidelines and security patterns for engineering teams.
