Chainguard is hiring a Security Engineer to support IAM, AI, and cloud initiatives. This early-career role is built for someone with a solid IT administration and/or software development foundation who can grow into security, with hands-on work across at least one area.

You’ll learn from senior engineers, contribute to securing our cloud, AI pipelines, and identity systems, and thrive in Chainguard’s fast-paced, remote-friendly environment with strong collaboration and growth opportunities.

Qualificações

• Must have a strong IT administration or software development foundation.
• Hands-on experience in IAM, AI/ML infrastructure, or cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Security experience or strong fundamentals and eagerness to grow into security.
• Comfort with scripting, automation, and troubleshooting mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multiple teams.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-moving startup environment.
• Team-first mentality and willingness to learn.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and sustain Chainguard’s technology platforms (cloud, IAM, and AI).
• Help implement and maintain access controls, identity policies, and authentication/authorization systems.
• Support the hardening and monitoring of cloud infrastructure alongside senior cloud architects.
• Assist in securing AI/ML pipelines and agentic workflows as they scale across the company.
• Troubleshoot, automate, and maintain systems using solid IT administration or software engineering skills.
• Document processes and contribute to runbooks, playbooks, and internal knowledge-sharing.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and pick up new tools or systems as the company's needs evolve.
• Learn and apply security best practices under the guidance of senior engineers, with room to specialize over time.
