Job summary

Walker & Dunlop is seeking a Security Engineer to advance the company’s security program. The role focuses on implementing and optimizing security controls across corporate systems, cloud environments, networks, and endpoints.

You will partner with technology teams to drive secure adoption, respond to incidents, and educate stakeholders on risks and best practices, in a remote US-based capacity.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security experience across enterprise environments and cloud platforms.
• Experience with security platforms and automation to improve operations.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001 concepts.
• Ability to communicate risks and security controls to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build partnerships with stakeholders to support secure product delivery.
• Serve as a security SME across domains and provide best practices guidance.
• Evaluate security tools and recommend enhancements or consolidations.
• Implement and optimize security technologies for effectiveness and value.
• Partner with teams to integrate security controls across the enterprise.
• Educate and influence stakeholders on cybersecurity risks and controls.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security events and incidents.
• Support secure cloud adoption and governance across environments.
