Job summary

Jobrapido is seeking a Security Engineer to join our remote team in Washington, DC. You will monitor, analyze, and remediate vulnerabilities across our systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to keep our cloud infrastructure secure and compliant.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in security engineering or related IT security roles.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanners: Nessus, Invicti, SonarQube.
• Familiar with Azure cloud security frameworks and patch management.
• Experience with SIEM (Splunk) and Agile/Scrum with Jira.
• Strong communication and remote-team collaboration.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, track, and support remediation of vulnerabilities using Nessus, Defender for Cloud, Invicti, and SonarQube.
• Deliver weekly Splunk auditable events reports and lead security meetings.
• Ensure vulnerability certificates remain valid and track software licenses.
• Validate VM status after patch cycles and coordinate post-patch testing.
• Support POA&M items, update security checklists, and respond to A&A requests.
• Maintain JIRA boards and prepare sprint-review updates.
