Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking an experienced Project Designer 2 to oversee the design process for electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, intercom and related technologies. The role emphasizes design management and customer collaboration over daily drafting, with a focus on coordinating with the offshore APAC design team to translate requirements into deliverables.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic security design, engineering, project management, or field service.
• Minimum of 3 years of AutoCAD experience.
• Experience supporting electronic security systems such as: Access Control, Video Surveillance (CCTV), Intrusion Detection Systems, Intercom Systems, Related Physical Security Technologies
• Strong project coordination and customer-facing experience.
• Experience managing project costs, budgets, and purchase orders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the electronic security design process for moderate to high-complexity projects.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, sales teams, and engineering teams to develop complete design packages.
• Serve as the primary liaison between customers and offshore APAC design team to ensure project requirements are accurately translated into design deliverables.
• Review design scope, project requirements, and customer specifications to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage project costs, purchase orders, schedules, and design milestones.
• Track project status and maintain organized project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate design progress, scope changes, completion timelines, and project risks to stakeholders.
• Participate in project turnover, design review, and coordination meetings.
• Prepare and review submittal packages in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
• Support change order management and ensure all design modifications are properly authorized.
• Verify designs comply with applicable industry standards, codes, and customer requirements.
• Mentor and collaborate with junior designers to ensure quality and consistency across deliverables.
