Job summary

SOFTWARE PEOPLE INC in Saint James, NY is seeking a Security Architect SIEM Engineer to design and strengthen enterprise security. You will implement SIEM solutions, develop security architecture frameworks, and lead incident response.

Candidates should have hands-on SIEM experience with Splunk, IBM QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel, knowledge of NIST/ISO 27001, and strong analytical and communication skills. This is a remote position with potential collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Security Architect or SIEM Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel.
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, or MITRE ATT&CK.
• Experience with log management, threat detection, and incident response.
• Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Certifications like CISSP, CISM, CEH are preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain SIEM solutions enterprise-wide.
• Develop and optimize security architecture frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and incidents in real time.
• Create and tune correlation rules, dashboards, and reports in SIEM.
• Integrate log sources and data feeds into the SIEM environment.
• Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
• Support incident response efforts and provide forensic analysis as needed.
