Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for Security Architect II in Cambridge, MA (remote options available) to translate compliance guidelines into technical specifications and frameworks for internal teams and assessors.

You will collaborate with sales, PMs, support and engineering, guiding security obligations across Akamai web-scale systems and owning integration risks to support go-live. Telecommuting from anywhere in the United States is permitted.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field.
• Coursework includes network traffic monitoring and analysis; DDoS detection and mitigation; TCP/IP suite; ACLs configuration; security incident monitoring and analysis; log analysis and incident reporting.

Responsibilities

• Translate compliance guidelines into business requirements, technical specifications, and frameworks for internal teams and external assessors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand Akamai web-scale systems and guide the company to meet security obligations.
• Own technical aspects of integration and support steps to go live, identifying and mitigating risks.
