Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect Senior Lead to help shape security compliance and customer trust across Akamai's distributed platform.

You will evaluate designs against security standards and translate requirements into technical guardrails for engineering teams. The role requires 8+ years of experience, cloud security expertise, PCI DSS knowledge, and collaboration with auditors and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience assessing security in cloud systems, Internet technologies, infrastructure, applications, and data governance.
• Expertise in PCI DSS requirements, control assessment, and audit support.
• Proven experience designing security architectures and control frameworks for distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Assessing cloud, network, infrastructure, and application designs against security and compliance requirements.
• Translating requirements into technical specifications, security blueprints, and engineering guardrails.
• Supporting compliance programs, control assessments, and audits using Akamai's common control framework.
• Working with engineering and InfoSec to investigate security risks and define remediation.
• Improving adoption and monitoring of security controls through AI and automation.
