Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Security Architect Senior Lead to assess security across cloud, network, infrastructure and apps, and to translate requirements into concrete guardrails for engineering.

You will lead security design and guide audits to improve Akamai's security posture. You will collaborate with engineering and InfoSec to remediate risks, drive automation, and enforce control frameworks in distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Must have bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience
• Extensive experience assessing security in cloud systems, internet technologies, infrastructure, and data governance
• Expertise in PCI DSS requirements, control assessment, and audit support
• Proven experience designing security architectures and control frameworks for distributed systems

Responsibilities

• Assess cloud, network, infrastructure, and application designs against security and compliance requirements
• Translate requirements into technical specifications, security blueprints, and engineering guardrails
• Support compliance programs, control assessments, and audits using Akamai's common control framework
• Work with engineering and InfoSec to investigate security risks and define remediation
• Improve adoption and monitoring of security controls through AI and automation
