Job summary

SmartIMS Inc. is seeking a security engineering professional for a fully remote role, must be in the EST zone and on a W2 basis. The position targets individuals with extensive security engineering experience across enterprise environments and cloud-adjacent platforms.

You will work on supporting large IT environments, security systems, integrations, and incident response. Candidates should be proficient in automation (Python, PowerShell) and in building playbooks and procedures for SOC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT/CS/SE or information security.
• 5 years of experience in supporting large IT environments, security systems or deployments.
• Hands-on security engineering experience across multiple cybersecurity technologies and integrations.
• Experience using APIs, SDKs, web services, structured data formats, and vendor interfaces.
• Strong troubleshooting across applications, security platforms, OS, networks, and identity services.
• Linux deployment, patching, scripting, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Experience developing automation and response workflows using Python, PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, JSON and YAML.
• Experience supporting IAM, DSPM, ASM, vulnerability management, email security, endpoint security, SIEM, SOAR, logging and cloud security.
