Job summary

MSys Inc. seeks a Security Architect to design and implement enterprise security automations and tools. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, IAM, Linux-based security sensors, SIEM/XDR, and integration across multiple agencies.

The contractor will support security operations and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment. The position offers 100% remote work with an on-call rotation, and an in-person interview for final stages, with W2 employment and a long-term engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering or information security related field.
• Eight years of relevant work experience (experience may be substituted in lieu of education).
• Five years of experience in supporting large IT environments, security systems, software development and/or system deployments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop, deploy, administer and provide operational support for enterprise security automations and custom tools.
• Develop Python-based automations, internal web apps, APIs, SDKs, scripts, dashboards and system integrations.
• Create automated workflows for alert enrichment, triage, incident response and reporting.
• Develop and maintain tools for CVE vetting, vulnerability enrichment and security decision support.
• Support IAM, DSPM, ASM, vulnerability management, SIEM, XDR, logging, monitoring and other security technologies.
• Collaborate with security teams and agency stakeholders to align solutions with business goals.
