Job summary

NextGen Solutions Corporation is seeking a Security Architect-Consultant for a 12+ month remote engagement. You will design and implement enterprise security automations, IAM integrations and toolchains, supporting a 24x7 SOC for multiple state agencies.

The role emphasizes Python-driven automation, vulnerability management, and interoperability across SIEM, SOAR, and cloud security platforms. Must be able to work Eastern time hours and travel when onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, software engineering or information security.
• Eight years of relevant IT security work experience.
• Five years in large IT environments and security deployments.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, vulnerability management, SIEM and SOAR.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy and maintain automated security workflows and tools using Python, REST APIs and JSON.
• Support IAM provisioning, deprovisioning and access reviews.
• Deploy and maintain security sensors, Linux servers and Docker-based environments.
• Collaborate with SOC, engineers and agency customers in 24x7 operations.
