Job summary

SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Security Engineer - Automation & Integrations to work remotely, aligned with EST hours. This hands-on role focuses on security automation, Python development, system integrations, Linux platforms, and custom tooling across IAM, vulnerability management, SIEM/SOAR, and cloud security.

Responsibilities include building Python-based automations, integrations, and dashboards while supporting 24x7 on-call rotations and providing operational intelligence on tool performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/SE/Info Security; 8+ years may substitute.
• 5+ years of experience in complex IT environments and cybersecurity systems.
• Hands-on experience with security technologies, automation, and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based security automations and tools.
• Build automated workflows for alert enrichment, investigation, and response.
• Integrate security platforms with enterprise systems via APIs and SDKs.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain Linux systems, containers, and security sensors.
• Provide on-call support and ensure platform health and performance.
• Collaborate with security architects, SOC analysts, and stakeholders.
