Job summary

CEFCU is seeking a Security Analyst to evaluate events from our security monitoring systems, identify vulnerabilities, and investigate issues to protect member data and CEFCU systems.

The role requires 2–4 years in security operations, relevant IT degree or experience, and credentials such as CEH or CISSP. Strong knowledge of risk management, threat detection, and Windows security is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field or five years commensurate information security/network experience.
• 2-4 years’ experience as a Security Operations Analyst.
• CEH or CISSP certification or two+ years of Network Engineer experience.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, risk management and threat detection.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls and endpoint protection.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and VPN.
• Experience with a vulnerability scanning tool.
• Knowledge of virus definitions and malware families.
• Experience with patching updates and CVE review.
• Windows environment security configurations, event logs and AD security.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate security events identified by CEFCU’s network and security monitoring systems.
• Identify system vulnerabilities and investigate issues to protect CEFCU data.
• Respond to security incidents affecting members and employees.
• Assist in maintaining secure configurations and patch management.
