Job summary

LMD Agency is seeking a Section 508 Compliance Specialist responsible for ensuring all digital content meets Section 508 accessibility standards and complies with federal requirements. This role includes evaluating and developing accessible digital products while providing guidance to project teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital accessibility, strong communication skills, and proficiency with various accessibility evaluation tools. This is a remote position with full-time employment dependent on contract award.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience supporting Section 508 compliance or digital accessibility initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining Section 508-compliant templates.
• Ability to document accessibility findings and maintain records of compliance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all digital deliverables comply with Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Review and validate accessibility of Word documents, PDFs, and other electronic documents.
• Provide guidance and training to team members on accessibility best practices.

Skills

Strong knowledge of Section 508 standards

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail

Proficiency in accessibility evaluation tools

Education

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or university
