Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to document and translate highly technical information for the DISA Defense Red Switch Network on the GSM-O II contract at Fort Meade, MD. Qualifications

• Active DoW SECRET Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience, OR a master's degree with 3-5 years of experience. (Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Technical Writing: Proven experience translating complex engineering data into user-friendly documents in a structured authoring environment.

Responsibilities

• Compose Technical Implementation Guides (TIGs), user manuals, technical specifications, installation guides, system security plans, system requirements documents, SOPs, installation guides and briefings.
• Conduct research to support and extend technical content as needed.
• Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards and guidelines.
• Actively support all phases of the documentation lifecycle, including structuring content architecture, writing, editing, verifying accuracy, and delivery.
• Coordinate with system engineers and subject matter experts to ensure content is validated and consistent.
