Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a Technical Writer to support a defense contract. This position can sit in Annapolis, MD or in Washington DC.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation including System Design Documents (SDD), Interface Design Descriptions (IDD), Test Plans and Reports, User Manuals, Installation Packages (IP), Software Version Description (SVD).
• Collaborate with technical team members, including software engineers, system engineers, and testers to gather information.
• Establish and maintain configuration management (CM) processes for software, databases, systems, and other aspects of the infrastructure.
• Ensure all documents meet DOD 508 accessibility standards.
• Support the ATO process, ensuring security documentation remains up to date.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Active Secret.
• 3+ years of experience in technical writing for software programs supporting the DOD.
• Familiar with DOD standards and compliance including NIST 800-53, STIG Requirements, eMASS reporting, etc.
• Ability to show proof of past writing samples.

Pay Range

$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
