Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking a SecOps Engineer for the North Central region. This remote role supports security operations across client engagements, focusing on SIEM integration, detection development, and telemetry workflows.

You will work with senior engineers to implement, monitor, and optimize security platforms, data pipelines, and incident detection capabilities, in a consulting delivery model. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 5 years of relevant experience or BS/BA with 2+ years.
• 2–5 years in security operations, SIEM engineering, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with at least one SIEM platform.
• Exposure to detection engineering or SOC workflows.
• Experience working with log data and security telemetry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Client-facing consulting experience and strong documentation.
• Interest in AI tools to improve security workflows.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day implementation, monitoring and optimization of security operations.
• Configure and optimize data ingestion into SIEM platforms.
• Develop and tune detections and map to MITRE ATT&CK.
• Troubleshoot ingestion, parsing, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on client engagements and deliverables.
• Document architectures, processes and findings.
