Job summary

CompNova is seeking an SDM Integration Engineer to remotely support the USA and Canada, owning subscriber data migrations, HSS/UDM/UDR provisioning, and interop testing across multi-vendor 4G/5G cores.

You will architect, deploy, and optimize centralized subscriber databases, ensure secure authentication and data integrity, and collaborate with core engineering teams and talent acquisition leaders to meet project delivery timelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional hands-on experience in telecommunications core networks and SDM.
Strong, demonstrable operational expertise in HSS, HLR, UDM, UDR, and subscriber data repository architectures.
Comprehensive working knowledge and practical proficiency in Diameter protocols, LDAP directories, SQL databases, and REST APIs.
Deep practical experience in signaling analysis and protocol troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, TShark).
Solid practical grasp of cloud-native deployment models, microservices architecture, and virtualized database environments.
Exceptional analytical problem-solving aptitude, data integrity focus, and professional communication capabilities.
Mandatory legal work authorization and physical availability for remote professional operations in the USA or Canada (C2C, W2, or IC eligible).

Responsibilities

Architect, deploy, configure, test, and integrate enterprise Subscriber Data Management (SDM) solutions including HSS, HLR, UDM, and UDR.
Design and implement secure subscriber profile databases, authentication credentials, and subscription authorization logic.
Manage 3GPP Diameter (S6a, Cx, Sh) and Service-Based Architecture (Nausf, Nudm, Nudr) signaling interfaces.
Execute comprehensive data migration, subscriber provisioning, and pre-production validation testing workflows.
Troubleshoot subscriber authentication, roaming profile retrieval, and location update anomalies across core network boundaries.
Monitor SDM database replication health, transaction latency, query performance, and storage capacity utilization.
Conduct rigorous root-cause analysis (RCA) and incident remediation for subscriber data synchronization and access failures.
Maintain meticulous technical documentation, data schema definitions, interface specifications, and configuration audit logs.
