Job summary

FMX is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test 2 to embed quality across the SDLC, collaborating with a tight-knit team of developers and QA professionals in a Columbus-based, remote-friendly SaaS environment.

You will own test design, automation and execution for a C#/ASP.NET MVC web app, APIs, and mobile tests, using Playwright/Cypress/Selenium, while driving continuous improvement and customer-focused quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years on a Scrum/Agile team.
• 2+ years testing web-based apps (manual & automated).
• 1+ years with UI and API testing tools (Playwright/Cypress/Selenium).
• Experience with AI coding assistants and agentic test workflows.

Responsibilities

• Embed quality across the SDLC with developers, product managers and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression and functional tests.
• Perform end-to-end, acceptance and exploratory testing to catch critical bugs.
• Design, document and execute detailed test cases for evolving features.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve test failures before deployment.
• Advocate for process improvements in manual and automated testing.
• Apply learnings from escaped defects to improve test design.
