Runpod, a remote-first AI developer cloud, seeks an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to ensure reliability, performance, and scale of our large distributed systems. You will shape QA strategy, automation frameworks, and quality standards across GPU Pods, Serverless endpoints, and more.

You’ll collaborate with Engineering and SRE teams to review code, build tests, and drive data-driven quality improvements, enabling high-velocity, reliable deployments across global

Qualifications

• 10+ years in QA automation, SDET, or related technical field.
• Experience testing cloud-scale distributed systems for reliability and performance.
• Proficient in at least one language (Python, Go, or TypeScript).
• Hands-on in building test automation frameworks for microservices.
• Deep CI/CD, IaC, and automated deployment understanding.
• Experience with load testing tools and observability platforms.
• Experience testing containerized apps and Kubernetes environments.
• Familiarity with chaos engineering and fault injection tooling.
• Background check successful.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for cloud-scale distributed systems.
• Architect performance, load, and stress tests for high-traffic resilience.
• Develop fault-injection and chaos engineering strategies.
• Develop and run end-to-end integration, API, and system tests across microservices.
• Embed testing in CI/CD pipelines to accelerate deployments.
• Collaborate with development, SRE, and infra teams to implement QA best practices.
• Analyze logs and telemetry to identify and mitigate potential failures before production.
• Advance automation of security testing, API contract validation, and infra testing.
• Participate in on-call rotations to diagnose critical production issues.
