Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking a Scientific Business Analyst for a Princeton, New Jersey-based contract role. The position is remote EST with a 6+ month scope and a strong likelihood of extension.

The analyst will partner with scientists and research teams to gather requirements and drive data-focused solutions in drug discovery. Responsibilities include workshops, gap analyses, process mapping, documentation, and Jira-based Agile delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• Experience gathering requirements, conducting gap analysis, process mapping, and documentation.
• Experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Drug Discovery, or Research organizations.
• Strong understanding of chemistry concepts and partnering with medicinal chemists or related teams.
• Experience supporting preclinical research environments and scientific data initiatives.
• Understanding of In Vitro Research Data, Animal Study Data, PK/PD, Safety and Toxicology Data, Non-GxP environments.
• Hands-on experience using Jira for requirements management, user stories, backlog management, and workflow tracking.
• Strong stakeholder management across scientific, business, and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate requirements gathering with scientists, chemists, and stakeholders.
• Translate scientific workflows into business and technical requirements.
• Create and maintain process maps, user stories, and BRDs.
• Use Jira to manage requirements and support Agile delivery.
• Support preclinical research data initiatives including PK/PD and toxicology datasets.
• Collaborate with IT, data, and business teams for successful implementation and adoption.
• Manage stakeholder communications across cross-functional teams.
