The Science Educator role will lead teacher professional learning, provide ongoing coaching, and help develop innovative high school science instructional materials for the STEM Learning Institute. The position is fully remote within the United States, focusing on inquiry-based, student-centered pedagogy and collaboration with teachers, program partners, and SSPI staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, science education, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience teaching high school science.
• Demonstrated success leading teacher professional learning or providing instructional coaching.
• Strong knowledge of inquiry-based and student-centered instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality professional learning experiences for high school science teachers, with emphasis on inquiry-based and authentic research practices.
• Provide ongoing instructional coaching, feedback, and support for teachers in STEM Learning Institute programs.
• Facilitate teacher check-ins to foster a professional community and address challenges.
• Collaborate to develop high school science instructional materials aligned with standards.
• Pilot and refine instructional materials through field testing and feedback.
