Job summary

IQLA is seeking a Schoolwide Support Specialist in Simi Valley, CA. The role supports K-12 virtual instruction, reports to the Lead Engagement Coach and Lead Student Support Specialist, and operates within a flexible, mission-driven team.

Responsibilities include student engagement, onboarding new students, testing support, and contributing to school-wide improvement initiatives. Requires California residency and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Strong content and subject-matter knowledge.
Ability to support and guide adults, as well as students.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Organization and time-management skills.
Excellent writing and grammar skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Support students through social-emotional learning and engagement initiatives.
Provide direct one-on-one and small-group support to referred students.
Develop student support plans and hold regular conferences with students and families.
Onboard new students and families; host sessions and Welcome Calls.
Proctor state testing and assist in assessment preparations.
Support school-wide initiatives and Esports program.
