Job summary

HelloHero is seeking a Virtual School Social Worker to support K–12 students remotely across Michigan. The role offers flexible 1099 or W2 employment, with school-day hours and 5 hours per week to grow caseload.

Enjoy onboarding support, dedicated service management, and paid training while delivering essential social work services to students in collaboration with school teams. Responsibilities include IEP-aligned assessments, progress tracking, and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Michigan license BSW/MSW (full approval required)
• MDE Certification Full Approval Letter or MDE Professional School Social Worker Certificate
• Experience with IEPs and school-based collaboration (1 year minimum preferred)
• Comfortable using technology for virtual service delivery and documentation

Responsibilities

• Deliver school-based social work services aligned with IEPs
• Conduct assessments and implement interventions
• Develop goals and track student progress
• Complete documentation and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and team collaboration
• Communicate with school staff, families, and stakeholders
